Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Centre for Human Resource Studies (CHREST)

The Centre for Human Resource Studies (CHREST) is a research centre under the Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. It was established on 1 May 2011. The centre aims to gather expertise in the related fields, to publish and desseminate research findings to the community, to become referral centre at the national and international levels, to obtain research grants for members and to establish networking with the national and international bodies. To reach its goal, CHREST benefits from its advisory board member consisting of well known academicians around the world. CHREST is a scholarly research community for scholars involved in the practice and study of human resource development and labour economics. CHREST was founded on the purpose of not only promoting academics research in the field of human resource development and labour economics but also encouraging the intellectual development of scholars through round table discussions, workshops and conferences. In order to be relevant to policy makers, CHREST is working closely with the National Institue of Human Resource (ISMK), a research unit under the Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia.
