The researchers at the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization undertake research into the strategic behavior of companies in an increasingly globalized world.

SMG currently consist of around 30 employees, of which eighteen are academic staff of professorial, associate or assistant professorial standing. Additionally, associated with the Department is several PhD students and a large and active research community from CBS.

The ambition of the Department is to develop into Northern Europe’s leading research department in strategic management and international business within a three year horizon.

The research is carried out in the intersecting field of these two disciplines with special emphasis on the challenges that globalization presents for strategic management. The research is based on the unique mix of ideas from organizational economics and strategic theory, which the Department’s group of researchers have cultivated within the last 5-6 years.
