Workshop on Applied Behavioral Economics

The 3rd edition of the workshop "Applied Behavioral Economics" will be hosted by the University of Bucharest, on June 21, 2014, and it is supported by the International Journal of Applied Behavioral Economics. The deadline for submitting a full paper is March 31, 2014.

The workshop invites conceptual and empirical papers in the field of Applied Behavioral Economics with the aim at examining the main applications of Behavioral Economics in business and organizations. Behavioral Economics arises from the failure of Homo Economicus prototype, but despite the importance of interdisciplinary perspectives, concrete aspects of the theoretical research are not enough discussed.

The workshop intents to promote papers that show a direct link between the Behavioral Economic Model and its practical implications in realm, with a special focus on the manner in which the behavioral economist’s toolkit can be used to design effective incentives and therefore improve various decision-making processes. 

Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished articles will be considered.The length of the submitted manuscript should fall between 5,500 to 8,000 words and appear in 12pt, single-spaced text, left-justified. The papers will be subjected to a double blind review process and, in case of acceptance, the author or one of the co-authors should be available to present the paper at the conference.
