Experience: Philip Keefer holds the position of Research Director at the World Bank Development Research Group. He received his PhD from Washington University (St. Louis, Missouri, USA). Dr. Keefer’s work focuses on the interactions between institutions, political economy and economic development. His research has included the impact of insecure property rights on economic growth, the effect of political credibility on the economic policy decisions of governments, and the sources of political credibility in democracy and in autocracy.
