  • Politcal economy of growth, inequality and education.Analytical models of public and private education; dynamics of education, growth and the distribution of income; the balance between public and private provision of education; industrialization, democratization and social policy; education and social capital; fiscal decentralization of education.
  • Economics of innovation; technology policy. Evaluation of Israel's industrial R&D support program. Microfoundations of Schumpeterian, innovation-led growth. Technological infrastructure policy.
  • Regional development. A development plan for the Beer Sheva metropolitan area. Regional patterns of unemployment in Israel. Internal migration. Local demand effects on employment. Israeli-Palestinian industrial cooperation.
