The Institute of Health Economics and Management (IEMS) is a joint institute of the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) and the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) of the University of Lausanne. IEMS is also attached to the Vaud County Teaching Hospital (CHUV) via its Department of Community Medicine and Health DUMSC.

It closely collaborates with other DUMSC institutes, notably the Institute of Social and Preventives Medicine (IUMSP) and the Policlinic (PMU).

In addition, the IEMS is a partner of the Swiss School of Public Health+ (SSPH+) and member of various networks of national and international academic institutions, such as the consortium of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE).
