12th EUDN PhD Workshop on Development Economics - Centre for Finance and Development

The European Development Research Network (EUDN) PhD Student Workshop aims at giving PhD students in Development Economics an opportunity to present their papers in an informal environment, as well as to exchange the results of recent and ongoing research in different fields of development economics. In Fall 2013, the workshop will be jointly organized by the EUDN and the Centre for Finance and Development. The event will take place in Geneva from Thursday 21 November 2013 to Friday 22 November 2013.

There will be ample time for presentation and discussion to maximize comments and questions from the attending faculty. By this occasion, a keynote speech will be delivered by "TBA".

Important Dates
The workshop will take place on Thursday November 21th and Friday November 22nd, 2013. The deadline for submitting a contribution is Monday, October 7th, 2013. Please send an abstract of about 250 words and a full paper (preferably in PDF) to [email protected] putting "Submission" in the subject line by October 7th, 2013. Acceptance notes with further information will be sent by October 25th, 2013.

Expenses
Participation in the workshop is free. The EUDN and the Centre for Finance and Development will jointly sponsor the workshop, providing a conference dinner as well as lunches and coffee breaks during the workshop. Moreover, authors of selected papers without travel funds may apply for subsidies, subject to the availability of funds, if indicated before October 7th, 2013 (along with the submitted paper).
