David Hurtado, ScD. Yerby Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health Center for Work, Health and Well-being. My main mentor is Glorian Sorensen. My research examines how the work environment shapes the health and well-being of workers’, families and organizations. In particular, I evaluate how policies and practices related to time at work  (e.g. job flexibility, breaks, schedules, hours) affect risk factors for chronic disease. In addition, I conduct research on social determinants of health inequalities in Colombia, focusing on the links between job informality and labor policies with mental health outcomes. I hold a Doctorate in Social and Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s in Society, Human Development and Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
