Bichard, Shannon

Research: Dr. Bichard is the author or co-author of 31 conference papers, 14 refereed publications, two book chapters and participates in several grant opportunities. Her research interests include public opinion research, advertising, consumer behavior, as well as the scholarship of teaching. Her preferred methodology is content analysis or survey research.

Experience: Dr. Bichard currently does consulting for research needs in the community with an emphasis on advertising effectiveness. She is also involved with visiting professor programs in an effort to keep current with the advertising industry.

Leadership / awards: Dr. Bichard is very committed to her academic career. She has received multiple teaching awards, including induction into the Texas Tech Teaching Academy, the President's Excellence in Teaching Award and the "Professing Excellence" award for demonstrating commitment to student success. She is also the advisor for the AAF Advertising Competition Team that won 1st place in the District 10 National Student Advertising Competition in 2009. She serves on the board for the Lubbock Advertising Federation. Her contributions also include membership on numerous service, thesis and doctoral committees.
