The Centre for Development Studies (CDS) is a leading institution in the UK for postgraduate study and research in the area of development studies. The centre is a multi-disciplinary group that crosses subjects such as Economics, Accounting & Finance, Central & Eastern European Studies, Economic & Social History, Law, Politics, Sociology, Anthropology, and Urban Studies.

The University of Glasgow Business School has significant expertise in the field of international finance research and is ranked in the top 10% of institutions worldwide while staff member, Professor Ronald MacDonald, is ranked in the top 10% of authors in this area and in economics as a whole.  Our research in economics places the school in the top 25% Economics Departments in the world (RePEc, May 2010).
