Overview

Wellbeing at work is much more than just a gimmick. Its introduction and promotion brings concrete business benefits.

Happy employees are:

  • motivated and productive employees who engage fully with the objectives and aspirations of the organisation they work for
  • better prepared to embrace the challenges of organisational restructuring and job redesign
  • less likely to be absent; and less likely to quit.

Any effective implementation of ‘health and wellbeing at work’ strategies requires a broader interdisciplinary, yet in-depth, understanding of the behavioural antecedents and consequences of maintaining a happy and healthy workforce.

This one day conference will bring together international experts in the fields of personnel and behavioral economics, organisational and social psychology, health and social work, and human resource management, who will present the latest state-of-the art research findings on ‘wellbeing at work’. Practitioner sessions and round table discussions of these findings will assess their viability as important elements for the design of policies and a consultancy package for the successful promotion of employee and organisational wellbeing.
