IARIW-UNSW Special Conference on Productivity Measurement, Drivers and Trends

The International Association for Research in Income and Wealth (IARIW),  the  School of Economics and the Centre for Applied Economic Research (CAER) of the Australian School of Business  at the University of New South Wales (UNSW)  invite papers for an internationa lscientific conference on “Productivity Measurement, Driver and Trends”, to be held in Sydney, Australia, on  November 26-27, 2013.  The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers in the productivity field, both IARIW members and non-IARIW members, to present new research on important productivity topics. 
 
Proposals will be assessed by a program committee composed of  Kevin Fox (UNSW), Erwin Diewert (UBC and UNSW), Paul Schreyer (OECD), Dennis Fixler (US Bureau of Economic Analysis) and Barbara Fraumeni (University of Southern Maine and IARIW  Council Chairperson). The conference organizing committee is headed by Andrew Sharpe (IARIW) and Kevin Fox (UNSW). 
Full papers (not exceeding 30 pages), or extended abstracts (not exceeding two pages) should be sent to the IARIW secretariat at [email protected], by March 31, 2013. Decisions will be sent out by April 30, 2013. Limited financial assistance will be available on the basis of need. 
Applications for financial assistance from presenters with accepted papers will be welcome by May 31, 2013, and decisions will be available by June 15, 2013.
A special issue of the Review of Income and Wealth, will be published on late 2014/early 2015 based on selected papers from the conference.
For the information of attendees, the IARIW-UNSW Special Conference will be followed by the annual CAER Economic Measurement Group Workshop, 28-29 November 2013, at the same venue, with a focus on price indexes and other measurement issues. The program of this event is by invitation, and attendance is free. Further information will be available at www.caer.unsw.edu.au.
